Although it's built by the same people who run the PastorsLine-PCO integration, Confirmed.Church is a separate product. Let's compare and contrast to clear up any confusion.

Goals

PastorsLine (PL): A church-driven, bulk texting platform, including voice calling, developed and managed to serve you by helping you spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Confirmed.Church: A way to fully automate your worship service’s volunteer confirmations and reminders for your favorite ChMS.

[At the moment, works with Planning Center (PCO). Church Community Builder (CCB) and Elvanto coming soon.]

Developers

While both PastorsLine and Confirmed.Church are under the same umbrella and were built by the same people who run the Pastorsline-PCO integration, each has its own dedicated team and developers.

How does Confirmed.Church work exactly?

Confirmed.Church is a more focused solution to a problem within the ChMS planned services component [currently PCO; soon CCB and Elvanto also].

Most Church Management Systems (ChMS) that offer worship service planning options offer some combination of email, free texting confirmations, and/or follow up. However, the free texting option used by most worship planning software requires you to know the person’s carrier (whether they use T-mobile or Verizon for example) AND use the SMS gateway provided by the carrier. Usually, this isn’t allowed by most companies outside of the US, so you can’t use your free texting option internationally. For US churches, the nation's largest carrier, Verizon, stopped allowing access to their gateway.

Confirmed.Church is an advanced text confirmation and follow up system that works automatically. It allows you direct texting to your volunteers without needing to know their carrier information. And since it’s traditional texting and we offer multiple global numbers, you can ensure this works in the US (even with Verizon for example), CA, and many other countries around the world that we support.

Do I need to be a member of PastorsLine?

No. You don't need be a user of PastorsLine to use this application.

However, there are some advantages:

  • The PL integration with Confirmed.Church allows you to use your existing PastorsLine phone number. More specifically, we have an integration for PastorsLine clients that allows you to use your PL phone number as the FROM number in the Confirmed.Church app.

  • You are only charged 1/2 credit by Confirmed.Church per message sent using your PL number. You are charged normally in PL.

  • You would get the added bonus of your messages showing up in PastorsLine.

Pricing

Even though it's a separate service, it's very affordable, starting at $10/m for an automation suite that we think will reduce the headache that comes with planning your worship services and getting people to schedule.
